In our mission to make payroll even more simple and more delightful for our clients, we are glad to announce that we have introduced an automated integration with Zoho Books where the JV is posted into Zoho Books without any manual intervention. 

To execute the above process, we need to fetch details from Zoho Books such as Client ID, Organization ID, and Client Secret. This needs to be incorporated into Paybooks for a successful integration process.


Detailed steps are given below:

1. Generation of Client ID and Client Secret in Zoho Books

Login into Zoho Books by clicking on https://api-console.zoho.com/

Click on ‘CREATE NOW’ under ‘Server-based Applications’

Update the following details

The Client ID and Client Secret is generated.

Click on the people icon next to paybooks on the right corner to view the Organisation ID

 

 

2. Configuring the JV Auto Posting from Paybooks to Zoho Books


Login to Paybooks

Click on ‘Integrations’

Enable ‘Zoho Books'

Click on ‘My Integrations’ to view Zoho Books

To Configure click on ‘Zoho Books Configuration’

Enter Client ID, Client Secret & Organization Id generated in Zoho Books

Click on ‘Test Connection and Save'.

Click on ‘COA Mapping’ to map the Earnings and Deductions of Paybooks to the respective components in Zoho Books

With this, the setup for your JV Auto Posting from Paybooks to Zoho Books is complete.


 

3. Monthly Posting of JV

 

Once the current month's Payroll is Locked, click on ‘Post Journal’ to post the Journal Entries from Paybooks to Zoho Books.

Select Month and Location from the drop-down.

Click on ‘View Payroll Journal’ to view the Journal Entries.

  


To post the JV for a specific location, click on ‘Post JV for Selected Location’.

The JV will be posted based on the location selected in the drop-down.

 

To post JV for all locations, click on ‘Post JV for all Locations’
