Variable Payments are paid by the employer over and above the fixed compensation. They change every month and are not fixed in nature. Examples of Variable Payments are incentives, bonuses, etc.
You can update variable payments for employees by using the Manual or the Import option:
Manual - Employee-wise and Component-wise
Import - Column-wise Import and Row-wise Import
On the Home Page click “Payroll”.
Scroll down to “Utilities.”
Click “Import Variable Pay/Pay Adjustments”.
Select the Location
Click “Next”.
Employee Wise Pay Adjustment
Select “Employee wise Pay Adjustment” from the drop-down.
Enter the Employee Code /Name.
All the variable pay components will be listed in the drop-down.
Enter the amount against the components in the Amount column.
Click “Save”.
Component Wise Pay Adjustment
Click “Component Wise Pay Adjustment” from the drop-down.
Select the Component.
Once you have selected the component, the list of employees will be displayed.
Enter the applicable amount against each employee in the “Amount” column.
Click “Save”.
For multiple entries use the "Import Pay Adjustment".
Click “Import Pay Adjustment” from the drop-down.
Click “Download template here”.
Update the Variable pay amounts in the respective columns against the employees.
Save the file to the local drive.
Click “Choose File”.
Click “Import”.
Import Enhanced Pay Adjustment
When you want the tax to be computed in a particular month for a one-time payment, then we use the Enhanced Pay Adjustment.
Click “Import Enhanced Pay Adjustment” from the drop-down.
Click “Download template here”.
Update the months in which you would want the tax to be calculated.
Save the file to the local drive.
Click “Choose File”.
Click “Import”.
