A timestamp is generally a record of the time or an event. In attendance parlance, Timestamp is the recording of the attendance of an employee.
The Attendance system automatically calculates the attendance in and out time. At certain times the attendance may not be captured due to various reasons like
- employee may have forgotten to mark/swipe in the attendance
- the employee was traveling on an official business
- An issue in the Attendance system etc.
These issues can be changed/ updated by Timestamp Change Request.
The employee can update both in and out time through ESS.
HR/Admin can also update both in and out time through ESS on behalf of the employee.
The Manager can approve the Timestamp change for their employee through their ESS.
The HR/Admin can approve the Time stamp change on behalf of the Manager.
Below are the steps to approve the Time stamp change request on behalf of the manager.
On the Home Page click “Transactions”
Scroll down to Time Tracking, Management
Click “Attendance/Biometric Device Management”.
Click “Approve Time Stamp Change Request” under “Configure”.
Select the following from the drop-down:
Calendar year
Branch
Approver
Status
Click “View”
Once you click on View you can see the employee details.
Select the employee by enabling the “check box”.
Select the “Approver”.
Click “Save”.
Once the time stamp request is approved, HR/Admin has to complete the reconciliation for the updated time to reflect in the application.

Transactions>>Attendance/Biometric Device Management>>Biometric Attendance Import>>Select the month and Location>> Get details>> Process data>> Save>>Submit.
